Welcome to Orchid Key Counseling & Coaching. By using this website or engaging in our services, you agree to the following Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. Services Provided

We offer psychotherapy (therapy) and life coaching services. Therapy is clinical in nature and may be covered by insurance. Life coaching is not therapy, does not constitute medical or mental health treatment, and is private pay only.

2. Eligibility

To use our services, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old (or have parental/guardian consent if under 18).

• Reside in a state or jurisdiction where we are licensed to provide therapy (coaching may be offered more broadly).

• Provide accurate information when registering or scheduling services.

3. Confidentiality

• Therapy services are HIPAA-compliant. Your personal health information will be protected as required by law.

• Coaching services are confidential but not covered by HIPAA. All reasonable safeguards will be used to maintain your privacy.

• Exceptions to confidentiality include situations where disclosure is required by law (e.g., risk of harm, abuse reporting, or court orders).

4. Scheduling & Cancellations

• Appointments may be scheduled by contacting the Orchid Key office directly or through our secure client portal.

• If you need to cancel or reschedule, we require at least 24 hours’ notice.

·        Missed appointments or late cancellations (less than 24 hours’ notice) will be charged the full session fee, which cannot be billed to insurance.

5. Payment & Insurance

• Therapy sessions may be billed to accepted insurance providers (currently BCBS, UnitedHealthcare, Cigna, and Aetna). Copays and deductibles are due at the time of service.

• Coaching and VIP services are private pay and not reimbursable by insurance.

• Payment methods include secure online billing and in-office payment options.

6. No Emergency Services

Our practice does not provide emergency or crisis services. If you are experiencing an emergency, please call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room. You may also call the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline for immediate support.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on this website—including text, images, branding, and resources—is the intellectual property of Orchid Key Counseling & Coaching. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our content without written permission.

8. Disclaimer

• Coaching services are not a substitute for psychotherapy, medical care, or psychiatric treatment.

• Results of therapy and coaching may vary depending on individual effort, engagement, and circumstances. No specific outcomes are guaranteed.

9. Limitation of Liability

By using our services, you agree that Orchid Key Counseling & Coaching and its clinicians are not liable for any damages resulting from the use or inability to use our website, coaching, or therapy services, except as required by law.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service periodically. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
